For the last couple of weeks, I have been testing out a Dryasana car seat cover. When Devon contacted me, and asked me if I would be interested in giving it a go, I thought to myself, “Why have I never looked into a product like this before?”
The idea behind Dryasana is simple: It’s a car seat cover designed to keep your seat dry. Before Dryasana, I was using a towel to cover my seat. This worked, but you no how towels are. They bunch up. Plus, I felt the need to wash the towel after I had sat on it just once. So there I was making a lot of laundry for myself.
After awhile, I got lazy and stopped using a towel. This meant I sat my wet butt down on the seat (I have cloth seats). Yes, this is gross. But I was getting lazy, and I didn’t care. Yes, this was messing up my seat. But I still couldn’t be motivated to go back to using towels. And you know what was really gross? If I went to yoga, sat on my seat, came home and then went back out. The seat would still be wet. I know. Ewwwww……
But, still too lazy to put a towel down.
Dryasana solves these issues. Let me tell you how…..
First, it’s a water-proof seat cover that slips over your seat. You can get it on your seat easily and in no time flat. These are designed for bucket seats, and you can see a full listing of what cars they work with by looking at the FAQ page. If you don’t see your vehicle listed (mine wasn’t on there), just fill out the contact form and ask. Devon assured me that the cover should fit my seat, and it did without issue.
Second, it’s a seat cover that covers the entire seat. This includes the headrest.
Dryasana also says their covers are waterproof, odor resistant, dry quickly. My short answer to those claims is yes. Seriously, it doesn’t smell, and you know I am sitting my wet behind on this thing nearly every day. It also drys very quickly. My favorite way to test this out was to go home, shower, and then turn around and get right back in the car (so figure 30 minutes of dry time). The cover was never wet. I was always comfortable.
You can also run Dryasana through the washer and dryer. It’s very easy to do. It’s no more difficult than washing and drying anything else. You only need to wash it about once every two weeks. That’s what I did, and I go to hot yoga almost every day. Use your best judgment.
Dryasana is good for things besides hot yoga. Basically, the seat cover will work well for any activity that leaves you sweaty. Your seat will be completely protected. I checked mine after coming home from several hot yoga classes, and it was 100% dry.
